Sleeping Bear Dunes Platte River Campground
About seven miles north of Beulah, this campground is camper and tent friendly. Electricity hookups and bathrooms with showers are also available. It’s a very popular campground, so make sure to check out availability and rates ahead of time.
Llovely Meadows Tent Campsite
Or shall we call it a hipcamp. A little jem on Llama Meadows Peace Farm, offering small but community-oriented four tent sites or two vehicle sites. Water, wifi, produce, farm education, showers, tent rental, electricity and a cool hippie vibe all available here. Because there’s limited space, plan ahead for space and applicable fees.
Betsie River Campsite
Bring your RV and hook up to one of the sites or pitch a tent! Fishing, swimming, outdoor fun within walking distance. A quiet, family-owned site that offers a store featuring local items, breakfast on site, or take a three mile walk down the Bestie Valley Trail for some shopping and ice cream.
Hungerford Recreation Area
6,500 acres of National Forest Systems land approximately 10 miles west of Big Rapids. This is a stellar place to ride horseback through the 50 miles of trails, hike or bike the trails or just hang out at the campsite after spending some time at Dunegrass Big Rapids
The New Tubbs Lake Resort
The resort calls out to the water enthusiasts with boat access to seven attached lakes through the lake chain. Tent and RV sites, electric, shower and laundry facilities and an on site convenience store. About 17 miles east of Big Rapids.
William Mitchell State Park Campgrounds
Located between Lake Mitchell and Lake Cadillac, this site has room for campers or tents, with some right on the manicured canal. Fishing and watersports right out the front door, or hike the 600+ acres of the park.
Long Lake State Forest Campground
8 miles northeast of Cadillac, this rustic campground is located in a hilly, wooded area on the shores of Long Lake. Fishing, boating, paddle sports and motorized cycle trail sports can all be enjoyed here. Amenities include vault toilets and potable water from a hand-pump well. No reservations on this one, first come, first serve.
Northern Exposure Campground
Thoughtfully appointed with electric and water at each site. Waterfront sites are available. Rustic cabins are also available for rent, no plumbing. Approximately 24 miles northwest of Cadillac. Pizzeria with pub items and arcade games for the kiddos.
Hemlock Campground
Located at the west end of Lake Mitchell near Cadillac, this National Forest Service campground is close to the Big M cross-country ski and mountain bike trails as well as Cabrefae’s Scenic Overlook. Open May 5 – September 4.
Cadillac Woods Campground
If you enjoy a rustic camping experience, look no further! Open April 1st – October 31st, Cadillac Woods features RV and tent campsites along with six rustic cabins to rent. Located on 115 in Tustin, Cadillac Woods is conveniently close to all of your Up North adventures!
Lake Michigan Recreation Area
Lake Michigan Recreation Area is a four-loop campground located on the shoreline to Lake Michigan between Manistee and Ludington. In addition to the 99 single family sites and 3 group sites, there is also a day use area with multiple picnic tables, pavilions and a playground, an amphitheater and an overlook. Arrowhead Trail, which runs through the campground, connects to the wilderness trails that traverse Nordhouse Dunes Wilderness Area.
Matson’s Big Manistee River Campground
About 16 miles east of Manitsee, Matson’s offers tent and RV sites with a variety of water and electric options, rental cabins are also available. Restroom, showers, laundry facilities and camp store on site. Plan around the Steelhead Tournament or Labor Day Pig Roast, meet some new friends and enjoy the uniquely scenic wooded waterfront. Rent a kayak or canoe and wind the day down with some responsible Dunegrass activities.
The Bluffs on Manistee Lake
For the 55 year-old and over crowd, The Bluffs offers RV stays with immaculate cement sites with hookup, patio, storage and car parking area. The pool and hot tub offer a great opportunity to unwind and just relax. Bring Fido along, there is a fenced in dog area. Check the rates and rules as this is a more formal site.
Nordhouse Dunes
This secluded wilderness area is well off the beaten path but nearly world famous for it’s miles of untouched Lake Michigan shoreline, expansive sandy dunes, and heavily forested backcountry. For a true wilderness experience in the Mitten, you can’t beat Nordhouse Dunes!
Tourist Park
A campground right on the north edge of the city? Yes! Electric and water available at most sites. Tents and RVs welcome. Hot showers available. Within walking distance (2.3 miles) of Downtown Marquette (and Dunegrass).
Rippling River Resort
A variety of options from rustic tent sites, glamping, to luxury cabin rentals. RV sites offer electricity, with optional water hookup. Pool, laundry room, wifi, general store and on-site bar are just a few of the amenities at this resort. Just a short 2.9 mile jaunt from the nearest Dunegrass in Marquette!
Perkins Park & Campground
Accommodations for rustic tent sites through full RV hookup available. You can even rent a rustic Yurt for your stay. Walk down to the beach, do some fishing or boating and just enjoy the Northern Latitude. Just 27 miles north of Marquette on Independence Lake.
Ostego Lake County Park
Just south of Gaylord offers 80 campsites with electricity, showers, flush and fill on 27 acres of beautiful Northern Michigan land. Horseshoe pits, basketball courts, volleyball, and a boat launch are just some of the attractions of this campground.
Lake Marjory State Forest Campground
For the rustic at heart, Lake Marjory offers 10 rustic sites with access to vault toilets and hand-pump well. The fishing is great here, and the trails for your ATV run about 15 miles. A little secluded spot 13 miles south of Gaylord, less than a mile from the freeway.
Elkwood Campground
Located in Wolverine, just 25 miles north of Gaylord, Elkwood Campground offers rustic tent sites, full hook-up sites and cabin and camper rentals. There is no wifi at this site, but connecting to mother nature and family is the point of this stay, with a little help from Dunegrass. Great basecamp for Gaylord or even Mackinac Island.
Holiday Park Campground
Traverse City’s premiere destination for RV camping. Situated along the south shore of Silver Lake, Holiday RV Park & Campground is open from early May to late October.
Turtle Lake Campground
Known as a hotspot for equestrian camping, Turtle Lake Campground is centrally located at the nexus of 75 miles of horse and mountain bike trails.
Interlochen State Park
Situated right between Green Lake and Duck Lake and right next to the Interlochen Center for the Arts, this 490 campsite campground is just 15 minutes from Traverse City.
