Five Shores Brewing

This is the place to be if you like some hops with your herbs! Craft beer is their passion, but you’ll also find plenty here to quench your thirst after your adventures here at a Higher Latitude. Wine, cocktails, cider and great munchies like Bavarian Pretzels, pressed sandwiches, brats and more!

Star Shooters

A classic college bar, Shooters offers all you favorite, from brews to booze. The kitchen offers some college town classics like corn dogs, tacos, fancy burgers and hot dogs. Pop in for a brew and a chew to top off the buzz.

Szot’s

Kitty corner from Dunegrass, Szot’s was voted favorite bar and favorite bartenders in Mecosta County People’s Choice awards! This is a favorite place for groups and get-togethers with a great vibe. Good drink specials, a burger bar, sandwiches and homemade soups every day.

Schubergs

A real old–time bar, Schuberg’s is a local favorite. Known for a great burger selection and sandwiches, Schubergs has a very nice dinner menu as well. Bringing students and family together, there are no reservations needed for this casual eatery.

Gypsy Nickel

This casual bar and restaurant really gets going after 10pm most nights, and is solidly in the rotation for night spots in Big Rapids. Whether you’re in to sample a few of the 15 draft options or their signature martinis and cocktails, The Nickel has what you’re looking for and does it with a smile.

Pines Bowling & Sports Bar

A cozy 12-lane bowling center, with glow bowling! Pines also offers a full service restaurant featuring pub food for dining in or takeaway. Join one of their leagues or just hang out in the sports bar with over 40 HDTV’s or arcade.

Green House Willow Market

If you are looking for a unique culinary experience, this is it. The special event space is inside an actual greenhouse. The Greenhouse offerings now include Primo’s BBQ, but still has the selection of freshly crafted sandwiches, pizzas and breakfast items that have become a standard in Cadillac. The market offers local wines and beer, a great takeaway to enjoy with your later date with Dunegrass!

Coyote Crossing Resort

Located just 12 miles west of Cadillac, Coyote Crossing has live music May through September in a custom-built outdoor venue. The dine-in restaurant has something for everyone including the craft beer lover. Check in to one of the 10 separate modern cabins, Dunegrass (outside of course – please check with host) and enjoy.

Timothy’s Pub

On Ostego Ave. Log cabin interior, check. Good food, check. Good service, check. Wanna get some food and drinks at Timothy’s Pub? Check.

Pine Squirrel

Everything you could want after a day with Dunegrass. Great pub food (Irish Nachos? Whaaat?), a game room, a tiki bar, great drinks and craft beer selection and even hosts softball games.

Snowbelt Brewing Co.

A taste of local fare and brews. A twist on comfort foods – try a “Grown-Up Grilled Cheese” or maybe some ‘Snowbelt Nachos’ after your Dunegrass appetizer!

Third Life Brewery

Check out Manistee’s newest brewery in Third Life. Jamison and Tad have cultivated a unique and comfortable environment with killer brews and even more killer company. There’s a good chance you’ll find a friend of Dunegrass any time you stop in! Great spot to grab a beer with friends on a Friday or Saturday night.

North Channel Brewing Company

North Channel Brewing tips its hat to the fascinating history of its’ hometown. You don’t have to be a beer aficionado to enjoy a spirit here, but if you are, you will be pleased with the robust selection of craft beer. The menu makes certain you won’t go hungry, as they have a wide selection of food. From whitefish dip to mac n’ cheese, just remember they’re going to want you to leave at some point.

Ironfish Distillery

Plan this. It is an event. Take a tour of the distillery, learn how they craft what you are about to imbibe, then round off the experience with a thoughtfully created pizza. Maybe the blue Fern Pizza with bleu cheese, apples, honey, parmesan and kale? Yes, please. Listen to some live music (check the schedule), wander home, Dunegrass and ponder the day’s experience.

Diggs

Less than a mile away from Dunegrass Marquette, Diggs gives you surprisingly different menu items that are aesthetically inviting and a rotating street food menu created by award-winning chefs. They also offer catering, but we can’t wait that long, get your Dunegrass and go!

Ore Dock Brewing Co.

A brewery with a great community spirit, no pun intended. Ore dock has an amazing variety of craft beer from the citrusy Saison to their Porter, this Brewing Company serves their community in good taste. Located just off of Front Street. Check their website for live music dates LIVE MUSIC & EVENTS

Blackrocks Brewing Co.

A Dunegrass favorite, we love these guys! Mind blowing year around and seasonal beers from super hoppy to lushes lagers. With live jams, grat merch and special events, Blackrocks is a part of the community here at a Higher Latitude.

Drifa Brewing Co.

A beer tour of Marquette isn’t complete without a visit to Michigan’s First co-op craft brewery. Both members and non-members are welcome, and they’ve got a great rotating selection of carefully-crafted beers and seltzers along with live music and events. Their outdoor space is also doggo friendly and their just steps off of the Iron Ore Heritage Trail in South Marquette.

Superior Culture

Fresh brewed draft kombucha in a cozy taproom on Third Street. During the day, you’ll find patrons sipping tea and kombucha in a bohemian setting, but when the sun starts to set Superior Culture transforms into one of the better local music venues that Marquette has to offer.
